I whipped these blondies up on a whim. I needed a quick treat to share with some friends and they turned out amazing! In fact, one of our friends said these were the best things I’ve ever made! Like I said, they were really well received.
I used a standard blondies recipe. For mix-ins I used white chocolate chips and sprinkles. I also substituted almond extract for half of the vanilla extract. Almond extract has a pretty strong flavor, so if you’re not a huge fan, cut it down a little bit.
Yield: 24
14 Tbsp butter, melted
1 1/2 cups brown sugar
1/2 cup sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp vanilla
1 tsp almond extract
2 cups flour
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp baking powder
1 cup white chocolate chips
1/3 cup sprinkles
Preheat oven to 350.
Line an 9x13 pan with foil and lightly spray with PAM.
In a large microwave safe mixing bowl melt the butter. Allow to cool for 5 mintues.
Mix the sugars with the melted butter and beat until smooth. Beat in egg and then the extracts. Add salt, stir in flour and baking powder. Stir in white chocolate chips and sprinkles.
Pour into prepared pan and use a greased spatula to evenly spread mixture in pan and level the top. Bake for 24-28 minutes or until set in the middle. Cool on rack before cutting.
