Calling all Boston bakers and dessert lovers

I read about this opportunity on a fellow Daring Baker’s blog – Butta Buns. This is a great opportunity to either bake some goodies or just eat some goodies for a good cause. Check out Jaye’s post for more information.

If you love desserts and would like to help several non-profit Asian-American organizations in the Boston area you could:

1) Contribute your own homemade desserts (see details listed below).
2) Attend and sample all the goodies on display. Go to http://aarw.org/dessert2008/ to purchase tickets online. When it asks which organization you’re from, let them know it was a BKA’er who sent you.
3) Spread the word, do a cut and paste job of this post and publish it to your own blog or email it to anybody you know who may be interested.

If you’re able to contribute your own baked goods, please contact Truc Lai at truc.lai@bnymellon.com

Many Thanks,

Jaye aka Butta Buns

Oh and by the way, I plan on attending is some way. I’m leaning towards baking because as you all know, I love to bake! Any suggestions for what I should make?

Very neat idea! I may have to try this out, since our house is filled with empty walls at the moment.

Aww this is such a cute idea! I’m not married yet, but when I am, I might consider it… It’s so classy-looking too 🙂

I love this idea and it’s something we want to do too. Thanks for the motivation! Oh and we’ve been married 5 years so ours will be a not-so-newlywed map too. 😉

That’s so crazy…I was just thinking about doing something like this the other day. I guess that means that I need to get on it. Thanks for the idea!

Is this map only for heterosexual couples? haha j/k. You just wrote hubby (I guess you’re assuming all of your readers are females and are straight), and I was taken aback. This would be great for whenever my future wife and I get married. Thanks for sharing! It really is a cool idea!

Memória – I hope I didn’t offend you. I wasn’t making any assumptions about my readers. I was just speaking the way I talk. This map could be perfect for anyone or any group of people.
