Recap of Last Year’s Cookies and Cupcakes
I made quite a few cookies and cupcakes this year even considering all the bars and brownies I made. Here’s my top 5 from the year.
My quest to find a perfect white cupcake ended with these White Cupcakes. They don’t dome up, but I’ve decided, that’s ok. Domed cupcakes look the same as flat cupcakes when they’re frosted anyways.
These Oreo Cupcakes are amazing. If you haven’t made them yet, go buy some Oreos and make them soon. Hands down my favorite thing I’ve ever made.
I was also glad to find a great Chocolate Frosting recipe. I love how dark and rich is it.
I love M&Ms. Add them to cookie batter and they get even better. Add them to chocolate cookie batter and it’s amazing. These Chocolate M&M Cookies are another favorite. And with festive M&Ms you can make them for any occasion.
My sister and I made these Homemade Oreos and really enjoyed the flavor. Can you tell I’ve been big into Oreos this year?
I can’t decide which of those last 3 to try first…but I think I’m going with the Snickerdoodle Blondies. My husband and I are both nuts for snickerdoodles!
I adore anything pumpkin and the pumpkin spice brownies look wonderful!
I’ve tried the Almost Candy Bars but that’s it. I must try the others!
I have wanted to try all these! Especially the ice cream bars. Yum!
yum. yum. yum. and yum! love those ice cream bar thingys!
I am the cook in our family, my daughter the baker – I’ll have to show her this post – thanks for the recap!
I love “best of” posts. Every one of these goodies looks amazing!
oh my gosh, they all look amazing!
Ok, I’ll take one of each please! And could you please share your secret on cutting those perfect bars?! Mine always have crumbs coming off the edge, or part of it sticks to the knife and leaves a big hole in the bar!
Melissa – I always chill the brownies completely. Usually in the fridge. I find that helps. I also use a pastry cutter to cut them.
Thank you so much! I am even more impressed knowing that you can wait until these goodies are completely chilled before cutting into them. 🙂 I think that scraper needs to go on my Christmas list!
