Blogiversary Giveaway Part 1 WINNER!

Sorry for the delay on announcing the winner for last week’s giveaway. We were out of town last weekend spending time with friends on the lake. Then it’s been a crazy week.

Enough of the excuses, let’s get on to the giveaway! I really enjoyed reading what everyone would want off the list I provided. The nerd in me wanted to make a pie chart of what everyone said. Instead I’ll just list the percentages here. Feel free to generate your own pie chart if you’d like!

31.4% – Baking Illustrated from Cooks Illustrated – I won this cookbook from another blog giveaway. I haven’t had much time to dig into it, but the Lemon Bars I made from it were amazing.
19.1% – Baking from My Home to Yours by Dorie Greenspan – I got this cookbook at a great price at TJMaxx one day. Everything I’ve made from it has been amazing. My favorite is this Depths of Fall Pie.
18.0% – Cake Pops by Bakerella (pre-order) – I obviously don’t have this one. It’s on my wishlist.
12.4% – Good Eats: The Early Years by Alton Brown – You guys all know I have an autographed copy of this book. I love reading through all the tidbits about the various episodes. The best thing we’ve made from this one is the Butterflied, Broiled Chicken.
9.3% – Martha Stewart’s Cookies – This one has been on my wishlist for quite some time now.
5.7% – Good Eats 2: The Middle Years by Alton Brown (pre-order) – Another one on my wishlist.

4.1% – Donuts from William Sonoma – I love donuts and while it might be dangerous for me to get this cookbook, I really want it.

I also got some great ideas from the Facebook comments of other cookbook I’m going to have to take a look at…

And now on to the winner. Between the comments on here and on Facebook, I had 256 entries for this giveaway. I used Random.org to generate a random number…

Entry number 216 is Lisa from Facebook (I hid her last name and profile pic for privacy). I will be sending Lisa a message to find out which cookbook she’d like from my list. I’ll let everyone know what she chooses. UPDATE: Lisa chose the most popular cookbook from the list: Baking Illustrated (which I already own and it’s great!)

Thanks everyone for entering the giveaway! Be sure to enter this week’s giveaway by midnight tomorrow.

OH MY GOSH!!! This is so exciting! I live maybe half an hour away from Hershey! Also I have been following your Twitter… I have met Chef Thomas Pratt and I know the Exec. Pastry Chef Cher Harris!!! How cool is that!? Small world! Anyway my favorite thing to bake is cookies. All the girls in my family have a baking day and we make tons of different Christmas cookies!

I plan on using my time off work to bake Christmas treats with them so they can give their own gifts to the relatives. How excited will everyone be, especially the boys, to share their sweet treats.
