Free Donations to Support a Cause of your Choice!

I got an email the other day that caught my eye. It was from HotelsCombined.com and they offered to make a $20 donation to my Avon Walk. I know you’re thinking what’s the catch. Well there is a small catch. For me to earn that $20 donation, I was asked to write this blog post. Feel free to skip over it if you’re not interested, but you might want to stick around…

Hotels Combined is running a Spread the Word and Help campaign where make free donations on your behalf. Check here for information about how to participate. The easiest way to is simply become a fan of their facebook group. Then just leave a comment saying which of these three charities you would like the $5 to go to:

WWF – the global conservation charity dedicated to stopping the degradation of the planet’s natural environment and building a future in which humans live in harmony with nature.
World Vision – Christian humanitarian organization dedicated to working with children, families, and their communities worldwide to reach their full potential by tackling the causes of poverty and injustice
Make a Wish Foundation – Granting the wishes of children with life-threatening medical conditions.

And that’s it. $5 going to a charity of your choice and it’s free to you! You can also earn a $10 donation by tweeting about them or a $20 donation by blogging about them. It’s a great way to do a good deed without too much of an effort!

Update: I just wanted to add that the $20 donation from www.hotelscombined.com showed up on my Avon Walk page on 3/30, just two days after this post went up!

Thank you for all of the yummy recipes that you posted on your blog. I especially like the recipe for Squash Bisque. I just bought a butternut squash and didn’t know what to do with it, so I completely understand the dilemma that you were in! I am going to try it and if it turns out well, then I am going to make it for Thanksgiving. I am always in search for new recipes for the holiday. I work with Better Recipes.com and if you are in search for the same, I recommend you check out their Thanksgiving Recipe Ideas

This looks like a great list of Thanksgiving dishes. Love your post on apple slab as well. I think I’m going to make one next week so I have it ready for Thanksgiving.

I think I’m just making desserts this year, but I may sneak in that cranberry, caramelized onion, and goat cheese dip as well. Going to check out the recipe now.
