I Spy with my Eye… Photo Week!
Two of the most creative people in the world (Amy and Steph) came up with the idea of Photo Week. First, we had Color Week, hosted by Amy. Then Steph hosted Auto-week. Both proved to be challenging and fun learning experiences. I have definitely learned a lot about my camera and myself as a photographer through those first two weeks of Photo Week. I also really enjoyed seeing everyone else’s interpretation of the themes.
And now, it’s my turn to host Photo Week! I was very excited when Steph passed the torch on to me. I thought long and hard about the theme… And now, I present to you Senses Week. That’s right! We’re going to enjoy our 5 sense through photography.
Monday (10/6) – Sight
Tuesday (10/7) – Taste
Wednesday (10/8) – Sound
Thursday (10/9) – Smell
Friday (10/10) – Touch
Photo Week has very few rules. The point is to get out there and use your camera, and observe the world around more than you usually do. To participate, simply take pictures any time this week (starting today). Just be sure to post your pictures on the appropriate day. If you can’t participate every day, that’s fine too. And don’t worry about how advanced of a camera you have. Or how advanced your photography skills are. Just get out there and experiment and see how it goes.

Love the history info and your buttercream looks so silky. Nicely done!
good job! rolls like the yule log and the pumpkin roll really aren’t too hard to make, but they’re great to bring to get togethers b/c everyone loves them 🙂
Congrats on your first “real” yule log. I wasn’t crazy about the buttercream either, though I did like the coffee flavor!
Yum! Very nice, creamy-looking buttercream. Looks delish! Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
I went for raspberry inside too – and agree that chocolate frosting would be tastier. Good job!

I love your texturing – nice log!
Job well done. I made it with chocolate buttercream and I think it would have gone lovely with raspberry.
I love the idea of the raspberry filling with the coffee buttercream. That must have tasted incredible.
As worldly as I thought I was at the time, I never could have attempted anything this complex in high school. You did a great job with your… it looks luscious!
